Flame, the Flamboyant Clairvoyant: Guest Psychic for June, 2017

Hello and welcome from Sweet Nan!  You may recall that during the month of May, I asked you what question you would have for a fortune teller.  I asked you to send me your question on Twitter via a tweet or DM for privacy.  And WOW, did we get some questions!

Our guest psychic, Flame, the Flamboyant Clairvoyant, did not wish to have her photo published.  Therefore, we have used some representative photos reflecting her reactions to questions.

Thank you!

I wish to thank Ru Paul Productions and Giphy for use of the animations
used in this article. They were selected to enhance the theme "flamboyant"
and for no other purpose.

Good Grief Granny!  This whole thing is full of disclaimers.  But I want to state one more time that any questions and answers from a psychic are for entertainment purposed.  The questions and answers are free, no strings attached,  and just for fun, not to be taken seriously.  I do believe in some psychics and their predictions.  Sylvia Browne and Edgar Cayce are my favorites.  But as we all know, there are an awful lot of phonies out there,  bent on taking advantage of people.

Question:  We received a question regarding work and career from Judy in Sacramento.  She said she works as a clerical assistant to an older man who owns his company.  He likes her and is very generous with raises in salary and promises good chances for advancement.   However, he likes to get close to her and touches her hands, shoulders and hair.  Judy’s no fool; she knows the signs.  Her question is:  “Should I look for another job right now or stay as long as I can?”

dq4  Answer:  Judy, you little cuddle bear smart cookie don’t need advice from Flame (and I am very hot today – sizzling, in fact!) You can stay there with the cowardly old hot pants for a while and put away some of that good money you’re making for later when you’re job hunting.  But there’s something you don’t know – Old touchy feely hot crotch has a wife who watches every move he makes.  She knows about the diamond tennis bracelet, and she has nanny cams hidden in the office.  This old hag (you can’t tell her turkey neck from her turkey face) is mean, and she would chortle with glee if she could ruin your careen and your reputation.  So Flame tells you “Get out ASAP.  Take the stairs, take the elevator, take the fire escape if you must.  Bye Bye little Judy.  You’ll be much happier soon!

Question:  LaTisha from Los Angeles has a dilemma:  She believes she cannot get a boyfriend because of her appearance.  She says she has ugly hair, ugly teeth, bad complexion, and is fat, among other things.  LaTisha says men use her for sex, but they never take her out or treat her like a regular girlfriend.  She works at a low paying job, and just barely makes it from payday to payday, and has no money to improve her looks.  She is actually thinking about robbing a bank to get money for the dental and cosmetic work she wants.  Her question to Flame is “Should I take the risk of committing a crime for money?”

dq6 Answer:  Flame is having a hissy-fit!  She wants to go out there and grab LaTisha by her “bad hair” and shake some sense into her!  No! No! No! No!  Girl, don’t you even think about robbing a bank or anything else!  It’s okay to want to improve your appearance, but there are lots of things you can do for yourself without a lot of money, and lots of help out there if you will look for it.  Stop wolfing down those chili-cheese fries, burgers and sodas, and you will lose weight and your complexion will improve.  Wash your hair and your body often and use generous amounts of inexpensive conditioners.  Are you whining about no money to go to a gym?  Get off that fat butt and clean your house or apartment and your car and your yard and whatever else you have that you can clean.  Work those calories off  by literally working, and then if you are still standing, take a walk.

Flame says you will begin to feel better and look better immediately, and men like sweet girls who work hard and take good care of themselves.  They may say otherwise, but deep down, they want a girl they can be comfortable with, not a drop-dead gorgeous beauty like me!  So, you get busy right now, girlfriend, and don’t make me come out there!

Question:  I want to apologize to Rodney, as I sensed he had some urgency to receive his answer, and it has taken 5 days to respond.  Rodney, your question is:  “Can you let me know about pregnancy?”   No other information was divulged.

dq1 Answer:  Rodney, this is Flame, and I speak from my heart as I answer your question, “Can you let me know about pregnancy?”  I feel your worry and concern, and also your distrust in almost everything, not just fortune tellers and paranormal activities, but in reality itself.  I sense you are so full of pain and uncertainty, I wish I could somehow pull it out of your psyche and take it into myself, as I am strong enough to deal with it.  But we can’t do that, and all I can do is send good wishes and comforting vibrations towards you.

I realize you are not asking me to explain pregnancy to you, as in the “birds and the bees,”  but instead, you are asking about a baby.  In trying to plow through your thick negative aura, I think I am seeing that you want a baby, or you are wondering if the baby in question is yours, and I believe you are hoping that it is.  Trying my best here to read you; difficult.  I have to tell you, Rodney, that there is no baby, there never was a baby, and there will be no baby forthcoming in your life.  The dark lights whirling around you tell me also that the exact opposite will be true.  The fact is, Rodney, that what you want is not going to happen.

I also sense that you are trying to develop your own psychic abilities.  I am asking you to postpone your efforts for a while.  There is too much interference in your aura right now.  The development of psychic abilities should never be done out of fear or desperation.

You have some friends who would be good company to you and could bring some brightness and lightness into your dark world, if only you would stop blocking them out.  Try to have just a little bit of trust in people, and you may open the door to some happiness in the future.  I sincerely hope this happens for you.

Qiiestions and quick answers:

From Mary in Toronto, Canada:   Is my boyfriend cheating on me?

FLAME:  Of course he is.  You know that – why are you even asking?  Tell your no-good cousin to leave Mike alone – he is too jelly-balled to resist anything.

From Chris in Midway, Florida:  I think I like my girlfriend’s mother better than I like my girlfriend.   Is it okay to approach her?

FLAME:  Sure, if you have a death wish.  You idiot, you would end up hurting everyone involved, including yourself.  If you have a little itch for an older woman, break up with your girlfriend and go find one.   Lots of fish in that particular pond.

From Melissa in Charleston:   I like this boy Arthur who always says hi to me.  Do you think he likes me?

FLAME:  Melissa, you are a school child!  What are you, 9 or 10 years old?  You are too young for a boyfriend.  You are too young to be on Twitter asking me questions.  Why isn’t your mother keeping you off the Internet?  Go do your homework and play with your Barbies or something.

From Danny in Mission Hills, California:  I want to open up my own business, a Martial Arts Studio.   How long do you think it will take?

FLAME:  It’s never going to happen for you, Danny.  You’re too lazy.  Aspire to be the HEAD pizza delivery guy.

Well, guys, that’s got to be all for now.  I want to thank our guest psychic, Flame, for being such a good sport, and once again. thank Ru Paul Productions and Giphy for the animations.  I thought this was fun;  I hope you did, too.   If you want to shoot some questions to me on Twitter, fire away.  We might do this again.

The Death of Me

PART  1
I knew I was going to die. I mean, going to die in a prescribed number of months and weeks, not like everybody knows they are going to die someday.

I told the doctors to give it to me straight. No hedging around, no false hopes, no patting me on the head and trying to make me feel better. They meant well, and they worried about me.

Little did they know that I regarded death as the ultimate adventure, the answer to all my questions, at last.  Of course, I had a little apprehension.  Who wouldn’t?  But for the most part, I wanted to KNOW!  It was exciting and wonderful to finally find out what happens after death.

All the stuff about a red devil in a fiery hell; angels on clouds and streets paved with gold; or that middle one they call purgatory. I always laugh at that – mentally picturing very small people sloshing around in coffee pots, confined there to percolate over their lives, what they did good and what they did bad.

And all that crap about religion. People have actually knocked on my door to inform me that I will burn in hell if I do not immediately attend their church, accept their idea of who to worship, make sizeable donations, and go door-to-door like they do. They call it “witnessing.” I call it meddling in other peoples’ business.

Churches aren’t the only ones who do this. Whole countries meddle. The United States will condone the behavior of missionaries who travel all over the world to tell people they will die and go to hell if they do not give up their current religion (whatever it may be) and become Christians. I dislike this for a multitude of reasons, not least among them that the missionaries often get arrested and jailed for their interference, and then our own military people must risk their lives trying to free them.

I consulted Wikipedia, and learned that the major religions of the world include:

  • Christians:     2,100,000,000
  • Muslims:        1,500,000.000
  • Of No Religion:   1,000,000,000
  • Hindus:  900,000,000
  • Chinese Folk Religionists:  400,000,000
  • Primal Religionists:   400,000,000
  • Buddhists:   375,000,000
  • Sikhs:  24,000,000
  • Jews:  14,500,000
  • Baha’is:  7,400,000
  • Jains:  4,300.000
  • Shintoists:   4,000,000
  • Taoism:  2,700,000
  • (Thank you to World Religions-Populations Pie Chart Statistics List at WWW.age-of-the-sage.org)

PAUSE FOR INCIDENT

Please forgive me for pausing. My caregiver just found me unconscious on the floor, and has helped make me more comfortable. I seem to be okay now, except for a very bad black eye. It has a strange hardness to it and looks very black and shiny. Doesn’t hurt, though.

I see I need to apologize for my more than necessary attention to religion, as religion is only a small part of the knowledge I seek during my death process. The actual numbers as related to reincarnation are staggering.

I am very ignorant about religion. When I was a teenager, I was engaged to marry a Catholic boy. I was told by his family that I must take Catholic Instruction and become a Catholic before they would permit us to marry. I dutifully trudged to instruction day after day, week after week, and tried to make my mind be a Catholic. Finally, a panel of priests called me into conference to inform me that I had too many questions, and that I had no faith, and therefore, would not be accepted into the Catholic religion.

I don’t know if all those tears were of laughter, sadness or relief. No overbearing mother-in-law, no pimply-faced teenaged husband, no long, boring church services, and the end of seeking after religion; for me, forever. Done. Settled.

I do know that of that long list of religions that I compiled before my face met the rug under the desk, that there is great conflict among the various worshipers. They all believe their own church is the only true one, and they will inherit the earth while everyone else goes to hell or elsewhere.

PAUSE FOR INCIDENT

That was a bad one, but I’m okay now. Let’s get to the exciting part! REINCARNATION!!!

To quote Fox Mulder, “I want to believe!” The idea that any of us have lived and died before is just mesmerizing to me. I might have been, and you might have been…

 A slave who helped build the pyramids and died of heatstroke
 A Scottish child who got lost on the moors
 A traveler who dined or was dined upon at Donner Pass
 A caveman or cavewoman who was buried alive in an earthquake
 An African woman who died of starvation during the birth of her 9th   child
 A fisherman among 160,000 who died in the 2010 Haiti earthquake
 A farm worker who drowned along with 4,000,000 others during 1931 floods in China

What happened to all these people after they died? Where did they go? Heaven? Hell? Another planet? Cold storage facility? There are millions of theories, books written (Remember Bridey Murphy?), prophecies, past life therapy sessions, personal accounts from people who claim to have died and come back to life; little children who “remember.”

Have they become ghosts? Animals? Some people swear their little dogs and cats are waiting for them in heaven. Presumably their fleas and worms, too?

If all of the gazillions of people who have lived and died on earth were reincarnated again and again, we wouldn’t have room for a flea, or anything else. I have to count on my fingers, so I don’t know how to put this in mathematical terms, but just think what the multiplication of people would be over time.

I like the idea of reincarnation. Always have. Always wanted someone to come up with even just one solid piece of proof. Since none is forthcoming, I will try to find that truth myself through keeping a record of my own death process.

Right now, I am having an aura, signaling one of my oncoming attacks. My vision is full of bright sparkles; I smell unidentified odd scents; my limbs feel rigid, and it is difficult to breathe. I will go lie down for a while, and will continue my story when I have rested.

PAUSE FOR INCIDENT
I am in a warm, totally dark place. Strangely enough, I can see, but I don’t know what I am seeing. There are strong smells that both attract and repel me. I can’t feel my body; just hard, scaly textures where my arms and legs should be. I hear the sounds of people talking softly, some crying and some laughing.

Perhaps I am in a coma, in a hospital bed. I no longer feel pain, but feel something I can only describe as the absence of life. I think I might have died, but I hear the voices of people around me.

NEW LOCATION: Coffin

“Well, at least we got a few dozen to attend. It was embarrassing, having to almost bribe people to come to her funeral.”
“You’re having a little gathering at your house after the service?”

“Yes, as her sister, I felt I had to take care of things. Nobody else wanted to. At least, she left me a sizable chunk of her fortune, so I can’t complain. She was not much of a writer, in my opinion, but she was a brilliant businesswoman, I’ll give her that.”

“I worked for her for 20 years, and she never gave me credit for anything. I shouldn’t speak ill, but she was cheap and mean, even though she tried to act like she had a million adoring fans and friends. I tried to be friendly, but when I asked her to lunch one day, she looked at me like I was a slave asking the queen to eat with him down at the garbage dump.”

“Well, it wasn’t just you. She was a vain, selfish woman, rude to everybody. I don’t know for sure, you know, but there is sort of a family story that she was going to be married when she was in her teens, but the young man’s parents didn’t want her in the family. It was then that she turned against the world. Well, let’s get her planted and get all this over with.”

Death at Last

So I heard my sister speaking to one of my employees, and I knew. I was dead, and I was in the coffin with the dead human body I was leaving behind. I had to get out of the coffin before they closed the lid and got on with the burial.

I seemed to be stuck there, wedged in a small slippery space with a tunnel on one end and an opening at the top. I wriggled and squirmed, and finally crawled out of what I vaguely knew was my own ear.

Human traits melted away from me as I quickly scrambled down the varnished side of the coffin. I saw that I was quite handsome, a glossy body about a half-inch long with two light brown stripes behind my head. I had thin, spikey legs, appendages that would someday become wings, and delicate antennae with which I could communicate with other cockroaches and sense the presence of food and water.

The great mystery of life, death, and reincarnation has now been solved. Since I can no longer speak, never mind type, I cannot communicate this great truth to you, as I had hoped. Besides, I sense a warm, dark, safe place nearby, and I must seek protection there while I recover from my rebirth.

BREAKING NEWS: A freak accident occurred Wednesday afternoon on Sharples Road, in front of the Eternal Living Cemetery. Evelyn Parish Meade was killed in a single vehicle car crash. She was just leaving the cemetery after the funeral of her sister, Charlotte Parish, the renowned author and publishing mogul. A cause for the accident could not be determined, but first responders said she was screaming about having something in her ear that would eat her brain. Apparently she was in a state of traumatic grief over the death of her sister, and was declared dead on arrival at Central City Hospital.

Author’s Note:

This story is fiction in its entirety, at least, as far as I know. Over a period of three weeks, this account of life, death and reincarnation was produced during several sessions of a process called Automatic Writing. It did require some spelling and grammar changes and a general clean-up, but the information contained is basically what was received.

Casual Clairvoyance: The Art of People Watching

Do you watch people?

Do you watch people?

Happy to see you!

Welcome from Sweet Nan!

pf-welcome-floral

One day I saw a pregnant woman getting out of a car.  She looked happy and pleasant, if a little uncomfortable and awkward.  As I watched, almost feeling her discomfort, a pale blue light appeared around her, and an adorable baby face peered out at me.  “Hello, beautiful boy,” I thought at him.  He gave me an angelic smile before fading out of view.

This was a good bit more than I had bargained for from simple people watching, and I felt kind of stunned as the pregnant lady continued on her way, apparently unaware of anything unusual.

You just never know what you might see when you catch sight of someone (or something) out of the corner of your eye.

gif-cartoon-cats-night-sky

pf-watching

Hey, admit it!  You know you like to watch other people.  “Oh, is that orange thing a wig?”  Or, “What on earth is that woman wearing?”  Or, “OMG, she’s falling out of her top and her pants are so tight she might as well be naked!”

All my life, I have loved to watch people.  I love to see what they are doing, what they are wearing, who they are with, how they treat other people. and discover rich insights into what makes them tick.

In the not-too-distant past, people watching was a favorite pastime for many people.  If was interesting and free, and could be done almost anywhere; a mall, a park, or at an airport.   Waiting in a parked car provides a good spot for a little innocent spying on people passing by.

pf-gif-people-ball-game

pf-woman-in-water-aura

But times have changed, and not for the better.  We’re not in Small Town America anymore.   Everything seemed to go faster.  Little towns became cities full of criminals and thugs.  Crime rose with overpopulation.  More people became suspicious and dangerous.  Street gangs fought and marked what they perceived to belong to them with vulgar markings on public or private buildings.  Sexual predators abounded.

If someone doesn’t like the way you are looking at him, or doesn’t like the fact that you are looking at him at all, he might take out his gun and shoot you.  People watching was no longer a viable form of entertainment.

I am stubborn, and didn’t want to give up people watching.  It was one of my favorite sources of entertainment.  So, I began to watch surreptitiously.  I learned to appear to focus on some object near a person I wanted to watch, but taught myself to actually watch my target out of the corner of my eye.  Most people didn’t notice; I seemed to be looking at a tree or at cars going by.  If my target did seem a little squirmy, I stopped immediately and moved on.  Some people can feel when they are being watched.  Don’t forget that; it’s important!

Watch and Be Watched

Watch and Be Watched

pf-im-ignoring-you

In my new form of people watching, I began to notice tiny flashes of light, sometimes transparent colors, and a sense of something moving as I practiced my little hobby.  I put it down to my imagination or my poor eyesight, and continued my harmless venture.

But the day I saw the pregnant lady and her unborn child made me realize I had found more than I had bargained for  It appeared I had opened a gate that I could not close. I continued to see more about people than I wanted to, even though I did not try.

I saw a toddler with golden curls and a pink dress playing happily, but angels hovered all around her with sad faces, and I knew the child was going to die.

An elderly lady leaned on a walker as she waited for the elevator.  Her aura was beautiful, gray with streaks of pink and gold.  A peaceful feeling emanated from her.  She knew she would die soon, and had come to terms with it, even looking forward to death.  She was sure she would be with her Heavenly Father.

I  was not at ease with this state of affairs, but I could not seem to turn the faucet off.  Against my will, I would occasionally see something, usually not anything terrible, but I felt uncomfortable now when I saw sadness, anger, fear, or even happiness

I was sitting in a crowded medical office one day, occasionally glancing around at various people.  As my glance passed by a rather mild looking middle aged man, a bright orange halo appeared all around him.  I’m sure I gaped in surprise, and then he glared straight at me.  I felt horrible, hateful, murderous thoughts being aimed at me.  This man wanted to kill someone!  And he fully intended to do it!

I admit to being frightened, and could not think of the right thing to do.  You can’t call the police and tell them a man is going to kill someone based on reading his thoughts and his aura.  Then I realized I had become a target; he realized I knew something was going on with him.  I felt it was dangerous to leave; he might follow me.  So I put on my glasses and became extremely interested in the book I was reading, too engrossed to look up.  In actuality, I did not absorb a single word.

Finally, I was called inside for my appointment, and when I came back out, the man was gone.

Sometimes a person will feel he is being watched, and look directly at me.  When this happens, it is wiser just to move on.

So, if you wish to practice casual clairvoyance, just follow my directions, and learn to watch people surreptitiously out of the corner of your eye.  If you practice for a while, you will begin to see colors and auras.  You might want to stop right at that point.

I have not been able to stop the process entirely, although I can control it better now by practicing mind control.  But be careful what you wish for;  you might very well get it!

I would like for you to take everything you read with a grain of salt, including what I tell you.  I would like to help you have a little psychic fun, but don’t give the paranormal world more attention than it deserves.  Pretend it’s a new girlfriend or boyfriend, and keep it firmly in its place!

Bye and thank you from Sweet Nan.

The Christmas Apprentice

pfc-tree-gifpfc-tree-gifpfc-merry-gif

“Oh, hello Christmas.  Long time no see.”   I crawled out of my lounge chair to give him a hug.  I was not really surprised to see my old friend.  He had never failed in his visits, always bringing a word of comfort and friendly greetings. “I’ll get us a couple of hot buttered rums.  Was looking for an excuse to have one anyway.”

pfc-santa-woman-gif

pfc-hot-rum

“Oh, delicious idea.  It’s not been so long, though.  Only a year, remember?  I came to see you a week before Christmas last year, but I’m running behind schedule this season.  We have only three days before the big day this year.  How have you been feeling, my dear?

“Oh, all right for my age, I guess.  I was 75 in August, you know.  The arthritis makes it hard to get around as much as I’d like, but the pacemaker is keeping me going.  Do you want to know about my new support hose?  I am disappointed in their quality, considering their price.  I think the only thing they support is the bank account of the department store where I bought them.”

Laughing, Christmas said, “I always look forward to my visits with you.  Instead of asking for things, you always find a way to make me laugh.  But I look in your face and I see that you are tired, my dear.  I know that look because I am tired, too.”

pfc-santa-face-gif

pfc-santa-window-gif

“Seventy-five years of being obnoxious will make anyone tired, you silly old goat!  But how can you be tired?  You are a spirit!  The Spirit of Christmas can’t get tired!”

“Oh, but we can, and I am.  I want very much to retire.”

Long silence.  “I am astonished!  Christmas retires?  What about all the little children?  What about all the people of the world who believe in you?”

psc-kind-woman psc-vic-chile

Christmas laughs again, his jolly voice booming in the small apartment.  “Surely you don’t think I am the only Spirit of Christmas?  There are many!  Can you really think just one person, uh, spirit, can do this enormous job?  The Santa/toys thing is just the tip of the iceberg, and people have made it so commercial, it has lost most of its meaning.  The real job is 365 days a year of providing comfort and cheer, and sometimes relief, to everyone.  That part of the job is still rewarding, but the sadness and pain one sees eventually wears the spirit out.  I have been serving humanity for only 580 years, but I have become…What is the phrase?…Oh, yes…Burned out.  There seems to be a significant amount of rum in this hot buttered.”

“You don’t just appear at Christmas?”

“Not at all, but it is the most difficult time of the year. People get so emotional, especially when I have to take someone away.”

“Take someone away?  As in death?  Don’t tell me you are the Spirit of Death!”  Long pause.  “Are you here tonight to take me away?”

“Now, don’t be upset with your old friend, my dear.  In fact, I have a job opening for you – A very good job with benefits you can’t even imagine.  I need your help.  I am asking you to come with me and be my assistant for a year.  I will show you the ropes, and after a year, you will be the Spirit of Christmas.”

“No.  No.  I don’t want to die.  I’m not ready.  I won’t come with you.”

“Look at your television screen for a minute, dear.  I want to show you where you will be in six months if you don’t come with me now.”  He patted her arm consolingly.

She couldn’t help but look.  Was this some kind of crazy You Tube trick he was pulling on her?  But, no.  There she was, sitting in a wheelchair, alone in a bleak room, eating something from a tray, but spilling most of it down her front.  She could barely see, and her body ached from head to toe.  She felt herself wet her pants.  “Oh, my God!”

pfc-santa-wheelchair

“You see?  We need each other.  I have chosen you to be my assistant for a number of reasons.  You have a sense of humor that will see you through the most difficult times.  You are basically kind and compassionate, and have honest, down-to-earth common sense.  You are somewhat irreverent, in the sense that you are not impressed at all by wealth or fame, and you know how to tell difficult people where they can go when they are wasting your time.”

I gazed at my old friend Christmas, partly in wonder, partly in horror, and with a generous portion of curiosity.  “Then, in fact, I would be Death.  I used to watch all those old movies, Death Takes a Holiday, that Twilight Zone one where Robert Redford posed as a policeman.  And the Meet Joe Black movie – it’s almost like this.  And the ghost stories.  All the ghost stories.  Am I dreaming a ghost story right now?”

He shook his head and smiled.  “You’re going to be just fine, you know.  You’re with me. Now go brush your teeth and get into your bed.  You won’t need to take your pain medication or your sleep medication tonight.  I’ve got you.”  He smiled and kissed her lightly on the forehead.

“Can I call my daughter?”

“No, but I’ll be extra gentle with her.  It’s better this way.”

I shuffled away towards the bathroom.  The pain ruling every step was gradually turning into a pleasant floating sensation.

He looked at his hot buttered rum, which had gone cold.  “Merry Christmas,” he whispered.

You Are the Ghost of Your Past

girls-face-and-eyes-reflecting-on-water

As an adult today, I am really only the ghost of my past.  And so are you – Think about it!  You consist of elements of many things:  infancy, childhood, teen, young adult…and more.  You may have elements of past lives, in which you lived, hated or loved, and died.  But little pieces of all that rich matter still stick to you, whether you realize it or not.

A lot of your past is easily recognizable, like your attitudes, habits, and physical appearance.  For instance, I always wanted light colored hair.  I must have cornered the market on bleaching products, and tried my best to turn dark brown into platinum.  Now I feel the same, but my hair has obligingly turned silver.  I feel very comfortable with that.  It is as it should be.  On the other hand, some elements are not as pleasing.  I have my mother’s arthritis and her heart problems.  And one day I looked down and was shocked to see my mother’s legs.

I believe I have lived before.  Recurrent dreams show me an old, dark, drafty house with lots of hallways and staircases.  I fear it, but at the same time, I recognize it as “home.”

I see photos of English countrysides that are wild and cold, and I know I lived in a drafty cabin and died there. baby-by-fireplace

I can see the sunlight coming through the gaps in the rough walls in the daytime and can feel the cold wind coming through them at night.  I am cold, and I see a fireplace with a meager flame that needs to be fed.  In the corner is a cradle.  The infant in the cradle also needs to be fed, but I have nothing to give either one.  The child is too cold and sick to even cry.

I feel my lover brought me to this place from the city (London?) and left me and the infant here while he went to search for food.  He never returned.  I don’t know if he was killed or if he just abandoned me and went back to the city.  I see his face; I know him in this life.

Other memories:  Dancing in golden slippers to the delight of a room full of people;

dancing-on-tables

wearing a powdered wig that itched and smelled bad from lack of washing;

writing day and night, not even stopping to sleep.

I don’t know where the wild imagination came from, but that last one has to be a fantasy.

Do you find yourself remembering things like this and wondering why they were familiar to you?  Do elements of your past rise up unexpectedly and hit you in the face?   Have you seen or met someone you are sure you know?  Don’t be afraid of memories.  Know that you are just beginning to store them up, and there will be many more.

You might think of yourself as a book being written.  Each chapter is a life you have lived.  The chapters may be very short, for instance, if you died in infancy.  Another chapter may be very long; you may have lived to a great age, and experienced many important and perhaps historical events.  You may have known Albert Einstein or Jesus.  You may have even walked upon another planet.  Think of the wisdom you have accumulated!

So, don’t fear your rich collection of memories.  Instead, try to connect with more of them, and use them to your benefit in your present life.

You may need to contact your spirit guide for help and guidance, but it is important to open up your psychic inbox, and allow these rich memories to enter your present world.

If you need help contacting your spirit guide, you may want to refer to the main menu of Psychic Flashes to read “Finding Your Spirit Guide.

I appreciate your favorable responses to the election post, “And the Next  President Is….Election Predictions from Top Psychics.”  I am glad so many of you enjoyed the different take on our crazy elections.  Thank you.yellow_bird_thumb.gif

And the Next President Is…Election Predictions from Top Psychics

girls-face-and-eyes-reflecting-on-waterHello and welcome to Psychic Flashes from Sweet Nan.  Come on in and get your feet wet as we take a look into the mysteries of our nation’s 2016 Presidential Election through the eyes of some well known psychics, mediums, prophets, clairvoyants, and good guessers.

Do you know who will win the 2016 presidential election? No? Well neither do I. Being both curious and nosy, I decided to make a survey of some of the best known psychics to see if any of them might know.

I was amused by the amount of non-answers and hedging around, but I guess it was to be expected.  It is very difficult to get a straight answer from a psychic.  They like to bring up all manner of things that could affect the question asked of them.  Lots of CYA here.  I have had to leave out a number of prominent psychics you might expect to be here for that very reason.  But you might be surprised at the remarks of those that did answer.

Theresa Caputo, The Long Island Psychic

blog-theresa-caputo

You probably know of Theresa Caputo from her television show, “Long Island Psychic.”  I will not comment on her actual psychic abilities, but she is exuberant, funny, and very entertaining.  She can cry on cue.

Although she is very popular, she is currently being investigated for fraud by everybody and his brother.  I think she is a good entertainer, and fun to watch.

The only presidential election I could get from Theresa is that Romney will win in 2014.

Judy Hevenly, Head Psychic Honcho for the Enquirer

judy-hevenly-seajudy-hevenly-with-reagab

Judith Hevenly (I’m sure that’s her real name, right?)  is quite famous, being the psychic in charge at the Enquirer.  Although she is very accurate when predicting Oscar Award winners, she hedged big time when it came to the presidential race.

She made a complicated stew of astrology, numerology, ancestral history (of all things), threw in an onion, and at last, said she didn’t know.

Most psychics like to use terms like “it depends on,” and “if this happens, the other thing will happen, and if it doesn’t…”  Then they can’t be tagged for an incorrect answer.

Craig Hamilton Parker of the UK,  Psychic and Paranormal Researcher/Writer

craig-hamilton-parker

Craig Hamilton Parker is very well known and respected in the UK through his many published books (popular and scholarly) on psychic phenomena and through his frequent television appearances.  His wife, also a psychic medium, works with him and is also a popular personality in the UK.

I chose Mr. Parker for this blog post because he had something unusual and different to say.  He states that Jeb Bush will be our next president.  How is that possible, we all may ask.

Mr. Parker sees that Donald Trump will suddenly be taken ill, and will have to drop out of the race.  Jeb Bush will be brought in as the Republican replacement candidate, and it will be a neck and neck furious last minute race between Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush, with Jeb Bush the winner.

Nostradamus, 16th Century Prophet

nostradamus

Nostradamus, or allow me to speak French (so sexy), Michel de Nostradame, worked as an apothecary, brewing up potions for the rich and the royal.  His predictions were made in strange rhymes known as quatrains, which can and are interpreted in a thousand different ways.  If he had written prophecies that could be understood, he would have been beheaded as a witch or a demon.  He did actually mention Hitler in one of his quatrains, calling him “Hister.”  Pretty close.

This quatrain is thought to be his prediction for the 2016 election.

The trumpet shakes with great discord

An agreement broken, lifting the face to heaven

The bloody mouth will swim with blood

The face anointed with milk and honey lies on the ground

Yes, confusing.  Whenever something happens or is about to happen, everyone takes a shot at Nostradamus.  There are literally hundreds of interpretations, but some believe that Donald Trump will become the next president, but will be double-crossed. disgraced, and impeached.trump-nostradamus

donald-trump-9-14-16

The “trumpet,” of course, is The Donald, who has apparently been betrayed.  Broken agreements are scattered around him like pebbles on a beach.  Mr.  Trump has stated he aspires to conduct peace talks between Palestine and Israel (the land of milk and honey).

Other quatrains are interpreted to predict Hilary Clinton’s presidency.  And others, the return of the Anti-Christ, and still others, the end of the world.

Some people have made the study of Nostradamus their life’s work.  I would prefer to spend my time watching reruns of Laverne and Shirley.

Sylvia Celeste Browne, Psychic, Medium, Clairvoyant

sylvia-browne

Sylvia Browne was my favorite among the psychics.  She had a pretty good accuracy rate, but did make some monumental blunders, as well.  The worst one might be that she told the mother of a missing child that her daughter was dead.  Years later, after the mother died,  the missing daughter, Amanda Berry, was rescued along with two other girls.  They had been kidnapped and kept prisoners for almost 10 years by the infamous Ariel Castro in Cleveland.

I like the fact that Sylvia apologized, saying that she was grateful and relieved that she had been mistaken, adding “Only God is perfect.”  Like all psychics and mediums, she had a huge following of both admirers and haters.

Ms. Browne believed in reincarnation and in God.  She said she could see the future and was able to tell if someone was about to die when she was 3 years old.

She wrote many books, and you may have seen her on any of the daytime talk shows,  always a popular guest and entertainer.  Sylvia died at age 77 in 2013, but I found a general election prediction she made shortly before her death.  She said that within the next 100 years, there will be no more presential office, and the United States government would adopt a Grecian Senate type of structure.

John Edward, Medium, “Crossing Over” Television Show

john-edward-2john-edward-1

John Edward claims to be a psychic medium who communicates with the dead,  He is very well known for his best-selling books and television appearances.  He gave readings on the Dr. Phil show just recently, and had a popular TV show called “Crossing Over.”

But what we could best learn from Mr. Edward is how to be a money machine.  He gives information only to those who will pay for it.  You cannot even read his newsletter without a paid subscription.

I won’t, so no predictions available.

Edgar Cayce, The Sleeping Prophet

edgar-cayce

Last, but not least is Edgar Cayce, Twentieth Century Psychic and Medical Clairvoyant.  He was called “The Sleeping Prophet” because he would respond to the hundreds and hundreds of requests he received in this manner:  He would lie down, put himself to sleep, and concentrate on his subject.  When located, he would say, “I have the body,” and then would proceed to give detailed medical information pertaining to diagnosis and materials and methods needed to effect a cure.

I feel a special affinity to Mr. Cayce.  Even though he died about 60 years ago, he saved my favorite aunt, Aunt Barbara, from certain death when she was an infant.  He gave her a personal and diagnostic reading , describing her condition and how it should be treated.  My very charming Aunt Barbara still lives her fascinating life, and provides psychological and spiritual counseling to those in need.  She is one of “Cayce’s Children,” a very exclusive group, indeed.

I spent many enjoyable hours poring through information pertaining to Edgar Cayce’s view of the 2016 presidential election.  His writings make for fascinating reading on every subject you can possibly imagine.  Cayce did predict that two presidents would die in office, Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy.

Perhaps Mr. Cayce did not believe there would be a country left to conduct an election in.  His predictions include both the West Coast and the State of New York going into the sea after major natural disasters.

In my research on Edgar Cayce, I found only one reference to the 2016 election, and it is both third-hand and chilling.   Personally, I do not believe Mr. Cayce wrote this, and I will carefully give the source of this material:

Edgar Cayce’s Obama Prophecy

Posted in:  Mysteries  8-10-12          By:  David Martinez

“The 44th US president will be black, and he will be the last one.  The 44th US president will pull the nuclear trigger.”

So, for it’s worth, this is the information gathered from some of the top psychics, mediums, and prophets.  I have taken it with a grain of salt and a cup of cooking sherry, and I hope you will do the same.

We can do it, you know.  We can have our America back bigger and better.   Here’s how it will be under the simple, but grand Reincarnation of America.

W7

We will have abundant renewable energy, so most of us will end up with autos that will run on our choice of fuels.  The cost of heating oil to heat homes and cooling systems to cool will no longer be expensive.  We can be comfortable all year round at a small cost.  Grocery and food items will be more plentiful, inexpensive and healthy.  We will import less food from other countries and use more of our own safe, clean food.

Everyone who wants a job will have a job.  Everyone who wants a nice home or apartment will be able to afford a nice place to live.  Travel in America will be the best experience in the world, and we can all…

Pushing Yourself Too Hard

Psychic Flashes Odds and Endsrocking-chair

If you are on any social media platform (I choose Twitter so I can be silly), you are constantly bombarded with suggestions on how to be more successful; how to do everything better, “Be yourself,” and above all, DON’T FAIL!

It seems that everything we do must be perfect. We are being driven to perfection! It has gotten to the point that when we sense we about to fail at something, we must immediately: (1) read a lot of inspirational quotes; (2) buy some kind of product or service that will guarantee our success, or (3) If you have been a creature that has been low enough to fail at something, you must get up at once and try again! And again! And apparently ad infinitum!

I can understand why a person might be driven to earn a good living and support his family, but…
